join our mailing list aura gallery was founded in Shanghai by William Zhang in 2000 and has been holding many artists’ solo debuts, Yin ZhaoYang, Luo QuaMu, Hong Lei, Han Lei, as well as numerous international scholarly exhibitions, such as Mask of Japan—Japan Contemporary Photography and Face to Face in 2004, Wasabi – Photography by Moriyama Daido and Shadow Chamber – Roger Ballen Solo Exhibition in 2005, in which works from Araki Nobuyoshi, Moriyama Daido, Roger Ballen, Sugimoto Hiroshi, Morimura Yasumasa were first shown in commercial gallery in China. In October 2006, aura opened its branch space in Central, Hong Kong and moved its Shanghai space to current location in September 2007. aura expands another exhibition space in Beijing in 2008. From its focus to represent contemporary artists both from China and abroad, aura has gained worldwide reputation in art exhibitions, primary and secondary markets. The gallery showed works from Yin ZhaoYang, Luo QuaMu, Zhao JiFeng, Maleonn, Han Lei, Hong Lei, Wang ZhongJie, Roger Ballen and etc. aura has been presenting these artists in Art Beijing, ShContemporary, ARCO, Melbourne Art Fair, Art Santa Fe, and has became the most significant Chinese gallery for western collectors. Furthermore, aura is committed to providing professional consultation to Chinese collectors interested in Western contemporary arts. aura also has a rich collection of modern, vintage photography and paintings done by early 20th century Chinese artists available for inquiry. 亦安画廊由张明放于2000年成立于上海，至今举办过多名重要中国艺术家的首次个展，如尹朝阳、罗荃木、洪磊、韩磊等，并自2003年起策画多次国际性展览，如2004年的写真-日本当代摄影展、看来看去，2005年的Shadow
Chamber - 罗杰拜伦摄影展、Wasabi - 森山大道摄影展等，罗杰拜伦、荒木经帷、森山大道、杉本博司、森村泰昌等艺术家都在亦安首次于中国展出。2006年亦安于香港中环设置画廊空间，北京空间也于2008年开幕。 |
